Carol A. Alonso, M.D.

Dr. Carol Alonso is a board-certified dermatologist and a lifelong Texan. Born in Fort Worth, she attended Texas Christian University where she danced ballet and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor of science in biology. She subsequently attended The University of Texas at Houston Medical School, graduating near the top of her class as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. During her fourth year of medical school, Dr. Alonso was recognized as the “Dermatology Student of the Year.”

After graduating from medical school in 2006, she completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas at Houston, followed by residency training in Dermatology at University of Texas at Houston/MD Anderson Cancer Center. She served as chief resident and was actively involved in skin cancer screenings and teaching activities.  Dr. Alonso’s interests include prevention, detection, and treatment of skin cancers.  In her practice she offers a variety of medical, surgical, and cosmetic treatments.
